Now Mumbai Mirror reports that the makers have zeroed in on a new kid to play the part. Reportedly, 19-year old Mumbai-based Raj Anadkat will replace Bhavya and play his part in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. As Asit Kumarr Modi (creator of the show) revealed to the tabloid, “We had been auditioning for some time now, while simultaneously trying to convince Bhavya to stay on. But he was adamant that he wanted to quit. We have now signed Raj who is a good-looking and talented boy.”
Asit also revealed that he was really upset when Bhavya decided to drop out of the show. As Asit added, “Sometimes people start thinking they’re bigger than the show. He went ahead and did a Gujarati film without informing us.”
From what we hear Raj will start shooting from today and will be introduced on Tapu’s birthday on the show. The episode will air next week and in the meanwhile, the makers are planning a few changes on the show. “I plan to focus on Tapu Sena’s college track in the upcoming episodes,” says Asit, who has been spending time with Raj discussing his character and the story.
